I have taught high school students for over eight years and have found that my students were not practicing sustainable environmental practices and were slow to change their habits. I decided that children need to be taught environmental habits at a young age in order to incorporate them into their daily lives when they are older.

This idea led me to write a series of children's books. The series is titled The Green Gang and the three books are each titled Recycle, Reduce and Reuse. The books are targeted towards young children.. There are three main characters: Gilby a bunny, Magic a dog, and Sebastian a cat. They educate each other on what recycling is, why it is important, what it means, how to reuse things, and how to reduce their waste.
